So I mentioned earlier that the Australian Golf Digest Top 100 courses for both 2014 and 2016 had been completed in November 2017. This was a great personal achievement. One which the publishers of the list also recognised.
Last month saw Australian Golf Digest release 2018 Top 100 list. Reviewed biennially, there were a few movements in, out and within the list which always raise quite a bit of debate among the golf community.
How quickly time has passed, being a couple of months since what can only be described as a spectacular journey, completing the Australian top 100 golf courses.

What a year 2017 was. Lots of golf and dreams achieved. Starting the year with 91 played on the Australian Golf Digest List, progress accelerated in the first half. Almost came to a grinding halt during the middle, but finished with a flurry.

Playing the Australian Top 100 Golf courses involves quite a bit of travel. With such a big country, a lot of that is by air so flying with golf clubs is a necessity in trying to complete the quest.
Recently the R&A and USGA made a major announcement, which are aimed at seeing golf rule modernisation. This includes a major set of proposed rules, which will also encourage the speed of play.
